Potholes

Early reports are coming in that a pothole has been sighted in the parish. Unlikely though it may seem potholes were once rare in the parish. A concerted effort by Devon Highways has finally born fruit and once again potholes are proliferating in the area.

“It’s nothing”, said a representative from Devon Highways, “We just remain very still for hours leaning on our shovels and they just appear”, “It’s really quite magnificent to watch and I get paid for it”, reported a Highways worker who didn’t want to be named.

Residents are advised to approach potholes with caution as their favoured diet is tyres and suspension springs.

Anyone luck enough to see one is advised to report it to Devon Highways and definitely not the parish council.
